What to consign:

Well made classic furnishings from very traditional to mid-century do very well. Oriental rugs, Silver, antiques China, or Crystal should have at least six place settings free from defects.  Original artwork or signed and number prints are preferred, but exceptions are occasionally made.  Jewelry should be clean and of reasonable quality.  Costume pieces are perfectly fine provided they are of a recognizable maker.

What not to consign:

Furniture constructed of particle board.  Items that have strong odors or have been soiled by pets are also not acceptable.   If you have any questions, just contact us or send us a picture.

The staff of Foreside Consignment sets prices based on market trends.  Consigned items are kept in the store for 90 days.  There are two markdowns: twenty percent after thirty days (most items are sold by that time unless over priced). The second markdown is 50% after 60 to 90 days at our discretion.

Moving and Delivery:

We are not big people – so we will help move items within reason, our backs permitting.  We do not pickup or deliver, however, we have the names of several reliable movers and delivery services that would be able to safely help you with pickup or delivery of your purchases.

How to consign:

Small items can be brought into the store without an appointment between 11:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  Larger items or estate lots require photographs in advance.  Pictures can be mailed to us, or hand delivered to the store. Digital pictures can be emailed to us at:

No appointment is ever necessary for consigning with us.
